Those Hateful Shots

Evan had his 4 month check-up today. He weighs in at 14.5 lbs and 25 inches long. That makes him right at average for his age. He also got 2 shots...one in each leg. He was not too happy about those hateful shots. He's still recuperating, but some Tylenol worked wonders.

He will start eating some rice cereal next week. It' s hard to beleive that he is already old enough to have solid foods. He's growing way too fast!

Surprise, Maw and Paw!!!

What a busy weekend we have had! We all traveled to Greensboro for a surprise 60th birthday party for Evan's Maw and Paw. It was a lot of fun and Maw and Paw were surprised. Evan was a little angel, as usual. He got to see his aunts, uncles and all of his cousins. He also got to meet Maw and Paw's closest friends for the first time. Evan had lots of fun playing with everyone and getting lots of hugs and kisses from his Maw and Paw.

Here's a photo of Maw and Paw....I'm sure they will be glad to see their photo online. :-)

Elmo is our friend!

Hi All,

I had to post Evan's latest fascination....ELMO! I decided yesterday to sit him in front of the TV watching Sesame Street so that I could get some work done. He loves it, but only when Elmo and Zoe are on. He squeals and kicks his feet when Elmo or Zoe is on, but he whines when everyone else is on. It is just hilarious. So, we'll be tuning in to PBS every morning at 10am!

Back to Sesame Street I go........

Already 4 months old!!

Wow! It's hard to believe that our little guy will be 4 months old tomorrow. He is just a bundle of joy.

The past 3 months have been the most rewarding and the hardest work that I have ever done. The rewards come everytime Evan smiles! He is the happiest baby. He is really getting animated and vocal. He makes this squeaking type noise that is just adorable. He'll sit in his highchair and laugh and squeak at the light. He loves to be entertained by playing "boo". He'll just cackle and smile all over!

We decided over the weekend that it was time to move him from his bassinet to his crib upstairs. He has made the transistion without any trouble. I'm the one who hasn't adjusted real well. I miss him not being in the room with us, but I know that it is better for all of us for him to be in his room. Monitors are a great thing!

Here is a picture of all three of my boys. Gary says that this is one of his favorite things...sitting on the couch watching TV with Evan on one side and Smokie on the other. You see whose holding the remote already........

Evan's Visit to Cotton Inc.

Hi All,

Today Evan and I went to visit Daddy's work for his first time! Everyone was thrilled to see him and thought he was precious.

He was quite worn out when we got home, so after he had his usual naptime meltdown, he peacefully slept.......
