Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!

We all hope that 2007 is treating you good so far. Mom, Dad, and me are all doing good. We have been busy recovering from the holidays and Dad's travels. I have been busy playing with all of my new trucks and other Christmas toys. Santa was awfully good to me this year. I guess I had been a really good boy!

I am still enjoying any kind of truck. I love to watch the trash truck on Friday mornings. It's the highlight of my week! I also like to talk a lot these days. I have lots and lots of new words. I also like to repeat words that Mom and Dad say. They really like for me to repeat them!! I have started watching Thomas the Train and I really like him. Nothing takes the place of Sesame Street at 10am everyday, though.

I have added some new pictures from Christmas. Please leave us some comments!!

Sweet 16.....Months

Hey Everyone!

It's been way too long since Mom has updated this thing. Boy, have we been busy. There is so much for me to learn and discover these days. I spend most of my days reading books, playing with Mom and Smokie, and learning lots of words. My favorite word these days is truck. I also like to talk about squirrels, birds, balloons, dogs, cats, and Daddy. I'm still teasing Mom by calling her Daddy even though last night I decided to say Mama just once.

I recently had some new photos made and that was quite an experience for the photographer. I could not understand why I had to be still and sit in silly chairs and watch a girl try to entertain me. Anyway...according to Mom the photos turned out really good.

We are off on vacation in about a week. I'm sure I will have tons of fun in the mountains and will post more photos and comments when we return.

Into Everything...even the dishwasher

Boy have I been busy!! We went to the beach recently with my two new friends who are 11 months younger than me. I have a lot of new friends in my neighborhood! We got to know each other better and played on the beach a little. The weather was chilly but I was able to get in the ocean for a few minutes. I was a little unsure of the water at first but after a few minutes I really started to like it. Smokie barked and barked as the waves crashed against me. I guess he was afraid the water was going to hurt me. After we left the beach we headed to the mountains. We had a great time there too! Lots of new things and places for me to see!

I decided to show Mom and Dad my walking skills around the last week of April. Walking is REALLY fun! Dad said that I walked like a gorilla at first but I have pretty much mastered balance now so the gorilla days are OVER! Mom chases me around quite a bit and tries to keep me out of things that I shouldn't get into, but I'm a pretty curious fellow so I just ignore her most of the time! Mom and I stay pretty busy during the day. We play outside with my bubble mower and swing. We play inside with any cleaning tool that I can get a hold of. I particularly like the toliet brush and the swiffer. Mom's not too crazy about me playing with the toliet brush. which makes it even more fun! :-)

Smokie is doing well. We play together a lot. Smokie growls when I try to take his toys, but sometimes he brings them back to me to play some more.

Above are more photos of me that Mom wanted to share. Enjoy and stay tuned for more updates!!

Birthday Boy

Hey Everybody!

I just celebrated my first birthday on April 12th. Having a birthday is so much fun! We had a small celebration on April 8th. It was a great time for me because I was allowed to eat my own cake. I just couldn't figure out why everyone was laughing at me. I was just eating what was put on my plate! Maw and Paw bought me a neat wagon that has seats that Smokie and me or my friend Jack can ride in. I got lots of other neat stuff too -- my aunt Kristy bought a swing that I enjoy every day AND I am ready to go swimming in new swim trunks and a new pool for our deck!

In the two weeks since my birthday I have begun to walk. Just this weekend, I have learned that I don't have to hold onto Mommy and Daddy to walk, but I still need some practice. I figure I'll keep 'em guessing just a little while longer... Posted by Picasa

Is it March already????

I can't hardly believe that it is almost the end of March already. Time just flies by. Evan is now a spunky 11 month old for two and half more weeks. He is curious and busy almost all of the time. He cruises around on all of the furniture, but hasn't quite gotten brave enough to let go and take a few steps. He can get anywhere he wants to go by crawling and cruising, so why walk?

Evan has gotten really good at imitating sounds and tries to imitate words that we say. I think his official first word is "dog". He points at Smokie and says something that sounds a lot like "dog". Smokie is Evan's best friend. Evan loves to throw the ball to Smokie, pull Smokie's tail (Smokie isn't terribly fond of this, but tolerates it). We are fortunate that we have such a good dog that will tolerate the torment.

Here is a recent photo of Evan showing off his 7 teeth!

New Year's Wishes: Whirled Peas in 2006 for Everybody!!

Best wishes to all for a happy and prosperous new year. Daddy told me tonight over dinner like John Lennon used to say: "Give peas a chance!"
